Subscription boxes have been around for quite some time now. I’ve subscribed from a lot of subscription boxes since 2014 from beauty to clothing boxes. Subscribing keeps me updated with new products and allows me to try products before deciding to buying full sizes.

Last month, I received a new box – other than my usual subscriptions. My first Saladbox May 2017 was delivered by the end of the month. It’s a box full of VMV Hypoallergenics products.

May 2017’s box theme was Superskin Heroes by VMV Hypoallergenics. It was a box full of samples made to pamper our skin from head-to-toe. I have read so many good things about VMV Hypoallergenics. Their products are proven safe and effective to be hypoallergenic (causes fewer allergic reactions than other non-hypoallergenic products).

What’s inside my May 2017 box?

1. VMV Hypoallergenics Essence Skin-Saving Superwash (50mL) – rich, non-drying, bump-preventing, clarifying clean hair + body milk shampoo. It prevents acne and irritations on face & body.
2. VMV Hypoallergenics Skin-Saving Milk Conditioner (50mL) – softening, hydrating, non-greasy, volumizing hair conditioner. It contains richly hydrating virgin coconut.
3. VMV Hypoallergenics Hydra Balance Gentle Cream Cleanser (4mL) – gentle, moisture-balancing, facial cream cleanser. It has with monolaurin, virgin coconut oil, and antioxidants.
4. VMV Hypoallergenics Essence Hand + Body Smoother (4mL) – ultra-light softening lotion.

 

The Verdict

I have always wanted to try their skin care line. But since I’m too afraid to modify my usual skin care routine, I haven’t tried any of it yet. Luckily, a facial cream cleanser was included in my Saladbox. I love how this cleanser made my face feel soft and moisturized, though I’m not a fan of any coconut-scented products. I have tried a bit of Essence Hand + Body Smoother and I instantly love how moisturizing and non-greasy this product is!

I would love to try more VMV products, but I hope to find a product that doesn’t smell too coconut-y.
