Pop Studio by Sarah Geronimo Lipstick & Eyeshadow Review

Last May 31, I was invited by Shopee PH for the launch of their new brand ambassador, Sarah Geronimo, together with her own cosmetics line โ€“the Pop Studio PH.

Luckily, I was able to try Pop Studio PH products on the launch. Also, I’m grateful for Shopee PH’s generosity for sending over some Pop Studio PH cosmetics, which I will be reviewing on this blog.

POP STUDIO Products I got:

  1. POP STUDIO 3pc Matte Lipstick Set (Chorus 01)
  2. POP STUDIO Day-to-Night Eyeshadow Palette (Notes 01)

Pop Studio 3pc Matte Lipstick

Price: Php249/lipstick or Php649/trio set

I got Pop Studio 3pc Matte Lipstick Set in Chorus 01 with shades 01, 03, and 05. Upon application, I noticed that it is not as matte as I expected it to be because it glides smoothly into my lips. It’s a creamy matte lipstick which is lightweight and highly moisturizing but appears to be semi-matte.

ย โ€ข01 – Red with a slight hint of a pink tone
ย โ€ข03 – Peachy Nude brown
ย โ€ข05 – Light Pinkish Nude

Every lipstick comes with a lip balm which you can apply before the application of lip colour โ€“perfect if you have dry lips. Pigmentation is good since you get the colour in one swipe.

On the other hand, I honestly think that it is not long-lasting and may tend to smudge. But I must say, I’m in love with Shade 03, and according to Sarah, it’s her personal fave as well!

POP STUDIO Day-to-Night Eyeshadow Palette (Notes 01)

Price: Php399/palette

The eyeshadow has 10 shades in each palette. 6 shimmers and 4 mattes. Pigmentation wise, it’s not that pigmented and it takes a lot of layers to build up color. Also, it’s too powdery and may tend to wash off easily.

But look at the shimmers! I loved it and as long as you have a good eyeshadow primer, I guess it will stick longer. (Wag lang sa lapot days sish!)

All in all, Pop Studio PH is pretty decent and very affordable. I just hope they work on the pigmentations more in the future… especially the eyeshadows which actually has nice colors.

Have you tried any Pop Studio PH items already? Let me know how it goes with you by dropping comments below!

At the last photo I thought Sarah is looking on the mirror, my mistake it was you ^_^. About the POP Studio is this locally made?

I wonder if it would dry my lips. I’m a little choosy with the lipstick and try to steer clear of matte ones because a lot of brands dry my lips. Those colors are just too nice, though. Maybe I’ll try to give it a go.

How was its longevity? I like the colors of both lippies and palette.

I want the shade #05! I didn’t know that Sarah has her own make up line too. I love her simplicity ever since.

Thanks for your honest reviews. I’m not sure about celebrities venturing into the make-up biz, but why not? As long as their product are of quality, i guess it’s worth it.

Celebrities are now maximizing their exposure by providing other products to their fans. I wonder if this collection is also good for me (those eyeshadow palette looks cute!). Gone are the days when these celebs are just the face of someone’s brand.

So, Sarah has her own line, too:-). I love it that the lippies come with a lip balm. That’s thoughtful!

A lot of local celebrities have launched their own make up lines. Great business acumen, I must say. Well, Sarah is a superstar so many people will patronize her products for sure.

I haven’t tried any Pop Studio PH items but I think those shades for the lippies are beautiful for Filipina skin. Is it long-lasting too?

I have a thing for lippies but I haven’t tried anything from Pop Studio. It looks interesting to add this in my collection. <3
