It’s summer already, which means I have lunch time to cook and prepare dishes! Gah! I feel delighted whenever I got to try different dishes.
Last week… I was craving for a hoooooot & spicy Buffalo wings! Picture below is the finished product
So here’s what you need
Ingredients (Breading):
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper powder (I actually added more, made it ½ teaspoon… as I wanted it more spicy)
¼ teaspoon paprika
Ingredients (Sauce):
5 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
chili sauce
ketchup (I have seen most of the recipes uses mostly chili sauce… decided to put a bit of ketchup to give of a bit of sweetness)
Procedure:
Frying
- 30mins-1 hour before I start… I seasoned the chicken wings with salt and pepper
- Mix flour, black pepper, cayenne pepper powder, & paprika in one bowl for the chicken breading
- Put the breading mix in a ziplock or in a microwavable container
- Put a few pieces of chicken wings in the container and shake it until all parts of the chicken wing is covered with breading mix
- Fry chicken until brown and crisp. Then keep aside
Sauce
- Mix melted butter, garlic powder, black pepper in a bowl
- Then transfer to the pot… Add chili sauce.
- This is tricky… if you want it to be SUPEEEEEER spicy, then you can add up to a cup of chili sauce
- If you want it to be a mix of sweet and spicy… Then do what I did! A cup of tomato ketchup and ¼ cup of chili hot sauce. (Remember I put too much cayenne powder in my breading mix… so the chicken is SPICYYYY already!)
- If you’re happy with the taste of the salt already… place fried chicken wings in the sauce and stir it for about 15-30 seconds or until all chicken wings are covered with sauce
- Tadaaaaa! Serve it while it’s hot… and SPICY!!!!
I have mixed all the videos I’ve watched and recipes online I’ve read with this recipe Hope you find mine easier and tasty!
