Few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to join a Zoom e-vent about dry eyes in partnership with Systane.
As I’ve said in my previous b/vlogs, I had my Lasik surgery last December which made my eyes feel dry more often than ever. Most especially since March when I started working as a full-time Digital Marketer for dentists abroad.
Have you been experiencing dry eyes? Symptoms include:
- Redness
- Stinging or Burning Sensation
- Excessive tearing
- Sandy eyes feeling
- Blurred vision
- Sensitivity to light
And guess what? I’ve been experiencing ALL of the symptoms mentioned above, most especially on very busy days! Good thing, I was able to try on Systane products for weeks now and what a huge relief I got from using these products.

They have 3 lubricant eye drops: Systane Ultra, Systane Ultra UD, and Systane Balance.
Systane Ultra

This is recommended for those who experience mild to moderate dry eyes. It restores the aqueous and mucin layer of eyes. It is also safe for contact lens user.
Systane Ultra UD

It is just Systane Ultra but in single doses and are preservative-free, so you should discard the vials after opening. You can just tear one vial and bring it with you. I find this useful whenever going out or I think when you are going to a party in the future, wherein you will be bringing just a small pouch.

Why did I only find out about this?! Imagine bringing the eye drop bottle and making it fit your super small pouch 🤣.
Systane Balance

This is recommended for those who experience moderate to severe dry eyes. It restores lipid layer of the eye. For me, I find this more useful than Systane Ultra… probably because I have a moderate to a severe case of dry eyes.
According to the guest ophthalmologist, Dr James Abraham Lee, using lubricant eye drops aren’t just for those experiencing dry eyes. Even those who don’t experience dry eyes yet but are using gadgets or working on desktop for several hours in a day can use these products to prevent dry eyes.
This is perfect for those who are having online classes or working at home for several hours in a day! It is available over-the-counter (no prescriptions needed) and are safe for kids!
