Product Review: Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

It’s been awhile since Vitamin C serums topped the skin care counters. We’re used to hearing Vitamin C as immune booster. Even more, Vitamin C are now widely used as a serum to boost and rejuvenate skin. Goodbye dull skin and enlarged pores.

Few months ago, I’ve got the biggest acne breakout due to hormonal imbalance (and I think because of the new formulation of my previous facial wash). My previous facial wash, Etude House BB Deep Cleansing Foam, changed it packaging (and new scent, too!). After 3 days of using it, I instantly had a new set of acne (I currently have a few acnes due to hormonal imbalance). IKR! Merciless pimples!!!

Aside from changing facial wash, I added a few more products in my current routine like serums. And as of now, I’m still in search for another suitable facial wash for me… I’m back into trial-and-error process again.

It took me awhile before I decided to add serums in my skin care routine. Until, I had acne scars and dark spots that won’t just go! Grrrr! I’ve watched countless blog reviews, read numerous articles, and thought of adding serums hundred times!

So, few months ago, March to be exact, I tried Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop from Althea Korea. It contains 5% Ascorbic Acid and was said to be suitable with any type of skin.

How to use it?

After cleansing, apply an amount of about half the dropper to the entire face area. Gently massage into the entire face using the palm.

For sensitive skin type, you may want to mix a few drops into your preferred serum or moisturizer.

If you’re using Vitamin C serums day and night, you’ll be required to apply sunscreen during the day. Although for me, I use this every night only – since I have a different skin care routine for in the morning.

The Verdict:

Left photo shows my dark spots & scars in upper lip and chin area. Cropped from a photo last February 2017. While right photo was taken last May 01, 2017. As you can see there’s almost few to no dark spots left at all.

The vitamin drop is not thin as you would think it would be. It’s a bit oily – much like a light oil. Good thing is, it’s easily absorbable and dries up like I haven’t placed an oil at all. I felt slight tingling, but was said to be normal due to adjusting levels of pH.

I also observed that since I started using this product, I woke up with a fresh and glowing face in the morning. Goodbye oily face in the morning! I’m used into waking up with too much oil in my face – too much that I can fry an egg in my face! HAHAHA!

And as you can see from the photo above, I’m very much happy dark spots are fading! Yaaas! No need to conceal! LOL!

Where to buy?

I have bought my first bottle from Althea Korea and my current bottle from Yeppeun.PH on Instagram.
