Sultana Biscuits: Raisin a Healthier You

These past few days have been rough with COVID-19 situation going on –and it still is. I opted to work from home as a full-time Dental Digital Marketer for Australian dentists instead of going back to the clinic as a dentist. We all have reasons behind our decisions… and for me, it’s for my safety while the number of COVID-19 cases increases each day. 

As people around the world self-isolate because of Covid-19, factors like anxiety, a lack of social interaction or outdoor time and economic stressors can lead to mental health challenges. And it’s well known that physical health and mental health go hand-in-hand. That is why I love to spend a few minutes doing yoga during the weekend when I have less work needed to be done. It keeps my sanity and gives me time to reflect and be mindful of my body. 

Aside from that, I decided to start raisin a healthier me while I work at home by switching from unhealthy chips to healthy snacks.

Working at home may make us feel lazy to cook healthy meals and do physical activities. For instance, we may get so caught up in a project that we suddenly realise we haven’t eaten a thing all day. Or perhaps the “I’ll just have a handful of chips as I work” mentality turned into accidentally eating the entire bag.

Keeping our nutrition in check can be tough when our home is our office. We feel comfortable, and there’s plenty of food available. And unlike in the office, we’re free to graze all day, and the fridge is all ours. But this habit can wreak havoc on our waistline, sabotage weight loss and halt our productivity.

That is why I was so happy to find a biscuit that tastes like chips but on a healthier side –Sultana Raisins Biscuit. 

Sultana biscuits have been my go-to snacks whenever I start to crave for junk food. It has a yummy savoury flavour that I enjoy so much, plus it has big bits of real fruit raisins. 

Raisins, in general, are packed with energy and rich in fibre, vitamins, and minerals. Raisins are naturally sweet and high in sugar and calories, but they’re beneficial to our health when eaten in moderation. In fact, raisins can aid digestion, boost iron levels, and keep your bones strong.
