Beaver Shampoo and Conditioner

Few months ago, I received Beaver Shampoo and Conditioner from Beaver Philippines to try out. I’ve never heard about the brand yet, so I checked online about the reviews and was surprised that it has a lot of good reviews online. I’m cautious in trying out different hair care products than my usual because most of the time, my skin overreacts, like drying up and having dandruff.

My #SassyFam and long-time readers know how I really try on hair care, beauty and oral care products before posting it on my socials and in my blog. I want to really see how it works because I’m not just writing a blog article to unknown readers but to my family and friends too!

So fast forward to more than three months of trying out the products, I have nothing but good things to say about this brand. I’m surprised I have never heard about this brand all this time.

Formulated by expert Dermatologists and Chemists and trusted by Salon Professionals worldwide, BEAVER makes its way to the Philippines to bring their signature expert hair care to Filipino hair. They have several variants to address specific hair concerns of everyone as every person has a different hair type.

Tea Tree Oil

What is it?

Tea tree oil is known for its antifungal properties, meaning it can help treat dandruff. It is also a potent cleanser, so regular use can keep your scalp clean from grime and dead skin cells, keeping hair follicles free of build-up and freshness. Tea tree oil can also help control excess oil production by the sebaceous glands, keeping the scalp moisturised and healthy.

Scent?

Contrary to what I expected, it doesn’t smell like the usual “tea tree oil” stuff like a medication. It has a bit of “mint” smell but is not overpowering. I would say the bathroom smells like a spa after using this variant.

Verdict?

This variant, I would say, fits perfectly in addressing my previous hair condition. Late last year, I’ve been experiencing severe dandruff due to most of the time, I’m staying indoors with air-conditioning. And when I excessively moisturise my hair, it worsens my dandruff problem. I didn’t really see an instant effect when I started using this, but I felt my hair was unusually bouncy, light and soft. Then my dandruff began to lessen after a week and a few to almost no dandruff after a month.

Last December, I even bought it with me on our family outing since swimming can also excessively dry up my scalp.

Argan Oil of Morocco

What is it?

Argan Oil is made for damaged hair. It contains Omega 3, Omega 6, Vitamin E and essential fatty acids that help repair hair from frequent chemical treatments such as bleaching and colouring.

Scent?

It smells like the usual argan oil you would buy in a bottle. Fragrance tones are woody, sensual and a bit floral.

Verdict?

I used this after using the Tea Tree Oil as I really wanted to try its effect. I have previously tried a different haircare product with Argan Oil, so I’m really curious about this type.

It made my hair light, shiny and moisturised but not sticky. Plus, my hair really smelled so good!

Cherry Blossom

What is it?

Cherry Blossom is made for oily hair. It removes excess sebum and balances the natural PH of the scalp. It is enriched with natural vitamins A, E and biotin to help nourish your oily hair.

Scent?

It smells really good like Japanese heaven: sweet and like cherries.

Verdict?

I didn’t use this because I would say my hair is dry, and this is not a good fit for me. I gave this to my sis-in-law, and the feedback I got is that she loves how this shampoo and conditioner gave volume to her hair just by using it the first time.

Coconut Oil and Milk

What is it?

Coconut Oil is best for normal to dry hair. It’s rich in natural antioxidants and vitamins A, D, E, K, and F, promoting hair growth and a balanced scalp. It protects your hair from damage caused by day-to-day styling.

Scent?

It smells so good: coconut-y but not too strong. It has a bit of a sweet scent, which I think is perfect in balancing the coconut scent. So, this is perfect for people who like coconut’s moisturising power but don’t want to smell coconut-y.

Verdict?

I gave this to my sis-in-law, who just had given birth and has been experiencing dry hair, which easily breaks. She absolutely loves it! She said her hair had more volume and looked so shiny after a month of using this variant.

Marula Oil

What is it?

Marula Oil is made for dry and frizzy hair. It can help nourish hair from root to tip without making it overly greasy. Marula oil is rich in vitamin C, E, and protective antioxidants (60% more than Argan Oil), nourishes and moisturises hair follicles. It helps balance your hair’s natural oils to hydrate and protect the scalp against free radicals.

Scent?

It has a fruity, floral scent with a warm, nutty undertone.

Verdict?

I gave this to my sister with dry and frizzy hair, and she loves it that I think she already bought another set of this. Her hair became more manageable and soft after using this. I would love to try this one out next time!

With Beaver Shampoo and Conditioner, I can’t really try everything since every set is made to resolve a specific hair concern. That is why I have chosen people who have particular needs and what I think will best suit them. All in all, I love how you can see instant softness and volume after the first use!
