Product Review: Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam

As I’ve said from my previous blog posts… If you knew me or had seen me during my elementary to high school days, you probably wouldn’t recognize it was me. Aside from being tan (‘coz I used to train for Milo Swimming on weekends of school days and M-W-F-S during summer break), I have pimple breakouts all over my face. Maybe it’s part of the puberty stage in some part, but maybe I just haven’t found the right product. I have tried any brand you can ever think of available at the store. And to no avail, my pimples haven’t left me all those years.
I have used Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Wash with an anti-bacterial formula since college (2010) up until last January 2014 or late December 2013, I think. It helped me lessen pimples and even the oiliness of my face. But there’s this feeling of being unsatisfied.
It was in January 2014 that I read a lot of blog reviews about Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam and how effective it is. I then checked Etude House stores, and I was disappointed to know this is not available yet in the Philippines. So, I did my research on where and how I could get my hands on this product! I want it so bad already. HAHA!
So yeah, I got mine directly from koreadepart.com for only $7.03 (of course +tax and international shipping fee). I immediately hoarded one extra.
Product Description:  Formulated with Baking Powder to penetrate and cleanse deep within pore to remove makeup and residues. *Ideal for BB cream removal. 100% natural & Dye-Free
Active Ingredients: Baking powder
Directions: Apply to wet face and lather. Massage thoroughly and rinse with warm water.
Consistency: soft, white, creamy texture with really fine and mild scrubbing particles or beads
Scent: citrusy, lemon-like scent (and I love it!)
Started using it at the end of February 2014 and it lasted just recently (September 20, 2014). The upper right shows how I was able to finish up to the last drop I could get off the tube.
Verdict?
I love it so much I can’t imagine waking up without these! It’s a scrub and facial wash at the same time. Although I use it only at night (since I use a different facial wash in the morning) since it provides deep cleansing and it dries my face a bit. I feel my face is a bit dried and squeaky clean after using this. So, I use this at night to remove all the deep-seated makeup and dirt from my pores that I gathered all throughout the day.
If you have a dry or combination (just like me) skin type, you might consider using this 2-3x a day or at night only. For oily skin, this is the perfect product! It removes deep-seated dirt and excess oil, thus, preventing pimple breakouts.
LIKES?
-the baking powder formula
-it’s 100% natural and dye-free
-mild exfoliation
-skin feels smooth and squeaky clean after use
-dries your skin just to the point it removes excess oil, but not very drying
-doesn’t cause me any bigger pimple breakouts ever
(although, I have a few pimples sometimes and mostly due to my hormonal imbalance or before my menstrual period)
Will I still buy this?
DEFINITELY! I have never felt my face skin cleaner like that than any other products.
Does this remove makeup as other bloggers said?
YES, I have tried it in my wrist using my eyebrow pen liner, eyebrow-cara, eye liners and other eye shadows and it did amazing in removing all of the makeup in my wrist. Sorry I won’t be able to provide pictures of makeup removal test as of this time… but I promise to update this thread once I’m able to do it again. You may also search it in google… there are a few bloggers who did makeup removal test on this product and it showed outstanding results!
I’m from the Philippines too, and I want to buy it… would you help me?
It will be our pleasure. As my current addiction to Korean products, I have included en.koreadepart.com for our Special Order Offer in my shop 🙂

Update: December 2016
It’s now available in all Etude House branches in the Philippines.
Here’s the most recent photo I have… normal lightning, no face makeup (just eyebrows). Excuse the collage, I just grabbed it from my personal FB/IG account with the new book I got for only Php50 at a book sale 🙂
Have a good day KheiReaders!
