I haven’t written blog posts for quite some time now since I need to juggle time between dentistry school and writing job. However, I would love to write about my current addiction to @aromabotanicalph products.
It was on 2010-2011 when my aunt from Australia brought a few scented candles to the Philippines; since then, I got so addicted to it! And since I was earning my own money at that time already, I’ve been buying different scented candles from several brands already, but I got so addicted to Bath & Body Works… which I still import from the U.S. until now.
Fast forward, I’ve been stalking @aromabotanicalph’s instagram since late last year. I wanted to buy their huge 5-wick candle, but I can’t convince myself yet. That’s the problem –I tend to search for months before I decided to buy onto something. I want to see real reviews, get familiar with the scents, and know the ingredients of it.
Gladly they have their first physical store in U.P. Town Center opened earlier this year. I was able to check all the scents and realise the smell I was planning to buy is not what I wanted, although all the scents are pleasant.
Aromabotanical is Australian-made fragrance using botanical waxes and pure cotton wicks. What’s the best thing about their products? The scents are made up of essential oils and pure extracts. Yep, free of any chemicals! Yas!

Indulge your senses with light and fragrance from this natural botanical wax candle blended with Australian-Made fragrance, essential oils & pure extracts. Japanese Honeysuckle Diffuser 200ml (Php750)
A fresh, sweetly intoxicating fruity floral blend of English freesia, Japanese honeysuckle and plum. Balanced by amber and warm oriental wood notes. Free from animal testing. The reed diffuser is filled with Australian-Made fragrance, containing essential oils & pure extracts. It provides continuous fragrance without the need for a flame for up to 4 months.
I love how Japanese Honeysuckle smells that I have to buy 2 candles and the diffuser. It smells so refreshing. The sweetness is mild and crisp! I don’t like sweet-smelling candles, but this type doesn’t smell too sweet… it’s just so perfect!
I also got the Pink Freesia & Rose Candle which smelled like baby powder with rose scent in one. It’s a bit sweeter than Japanese Honeysuckle but still tolerable. It’s the scent closest to what you smell when you enter furniture stores at the mall. It also smells like my Rosehip Facial Wash I got from Australia.
Burning time of their candles is 40 hours which is pretty reasonable for botanical or soy waxes. You should definitely try their candles! I love how our home smells even after the candles have been lit off.
